Good evening. I was watching “The Croc Files” earlier tonight and of all the times I have watched it, I still managed to learn something new. Regardless of how worked up a croc may be as it preys, as soon as its blindfolded or loses sight of what was going to be its meal, it becomes still and loosens its grip ultimately allowing its prey to get away.
That croc is a lot like us. If we see in obviousness what God has in store for us, we get excited and tenacious. But the minute He shields us from visibly seeing His plan and forces us to act on faith, we tend to ease up, become weary, and sometimes completely let go. We know that what we need to survive is there and within reach, but because we can’t see it, we deny our faith the ability to fathom it.
“The scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.” – Romans 15:4
