Gimme More (not literally)

Posted by on Jun 20, 2009

Good morning. A few of you sent messages via Twitter and Facebook regarding something I posted on those two outlets. Without going into what was said in those messages, here's what I wrote,

"So! Bought 2 random, unknown kids sodas & 5 mins my nephew shows up & buys me a snow cone. "Give & it shall be given. A good measure.." WORD!"

I'm not going into the whole story because this short blog will turn into a book because I've grown to be passionate about this particular subject (giving), but I will say this. We always should be appreciative of opportunities to give and the simple reminders of the importance of giving. Yes, this encounter only cost me $1.40 cents but the underlying message is priceless. At a very random place in time, I was put in a position to give and I did. A few minutes later, someone gave right back to me. Even more important than that, those two kids witnessed two ideals that aren't displayed enough:

1. If you want something, ask for it. 2. When you give freely, you will be freely given to you.

Blessings are never about physical attributes but in every way possible, they are driven by natural intent.

So, to answer those questions, "YES, IT WAS A BIG DEAL IN A SMALL PACKAGE."

Peace – Kimberly

  1. Amen! Thank you for taking the opportunity to give/serve. You expected nothing in return for your gesture, but you were rewarded. THAT is the Father we serve!

Who cares that it only cost a couple bucks. A valuable lesson was learned, and sometimes it's the small things that mean the most. Big or small you took an opportunity to serve, and that is awesome.May God bless you richly my friend.
